Who are you?
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our leadership team. Ideally with an engineering background, you’ll have a passion for innovation and will thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven scale up. You’ll focus on developing talented individuals and helping our pods to successfully deliver valuable outcomes.
You will also make data-driven decisions to drive initiatives and improvements within your pods and across the product wing. We do not expect you to code (unless you really want to!), however, you’ll be comfortable being actively involved in and facilitating technical discussions and coordinating technical work when needed.

What would I be doing day to day?
As an Engineering Manager, you'll balance management with tactical execution. Your days will be dynamic, focused on empowering your team and driving engineering excellence.
Your key focuses will be:
- Leading engineering teams, providing day-to-day guidance and support, empowering them to deliver reliable and scalable solutions and creating a collaborative and ownership-driven environment
- Supporting Continuous Improvement, encouraging a culture of learning and innovation
- Developing and coaching Engineers to enhance their technical skills and career growth
- Establishing, refining and enforcing best practices for engineering
- Communicating with Stakeholders effectively, providing updates and ensuring alignment with broader engineering initiatives
OK, I’m interested. What experience do I need to have?
- Successfully building and leading high-performing engineering teams, implementing efficient processes and driving the focus towards impact over effort
- Line managing, mentoring and developing Engineers, supporting their growth and career advancement
- Confidence to dive into technical discussions, facilitating conversations and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Working within an Engineering Management function helping to collaborate towards impactful business wide initiatives
- You excel in dynamic environments, adapting to evolving requirements and consistently look for ways to drive towards continuous improvement in engineering practices
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment
Bonus Points For:
- A software development background
- Experience working in HealthTech or another regulated industry
- Experience with Data Engineering or Data Analysis

Salary banding for this role is: £60,500 to £88,000
