We usually respond within two weeks
Who are you?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to own our suite of Automated Scheduling and Core Platform products. You will be the strategic lead for the entire product area while being the Product Manager for one of the squads within it.
You will be responsible for your product area end to end, from setting a vision and strategy to partnering with your team of engineers and designers to deliver impactful solutions. Your work will have a direct impact on helping the NHS run more efficiently, saving time and money and improving healthcare experiences for patients and NHS staff.
OK, that’s me, but who are DrDoctor?
Take a look at our careers page (https://drdoctor.teamtailor.com/) to find out a bit more about our mission, vision, and impact!
But ultimately, we 💚 the NHS and want to help it work better. We radically transform the delivery of health services to make healthcare work for everyone – for patients, doctors, administrative teams and taxpayers.
What would I be doing day to day?
One of the great things about a scale-up is that every day is different and there is always an opportunity to get involved in something outside of your ‘BAU’!
However, the key things you could expect would include:
- Crafting a vision and long term strategy for a product area consisting of multiple squads
- Setting objectives for your product area in alignment with the company strategy
- User research, discovering and validating product opportunities using a variety of experimentation techniques
- Diving into product data and deeply understanding your product area’s performance
- Staying up to date on competitors and market trends
- Leading a cross functional squad of engineers and designers to deliver solutions that make NHS healthcare teams more efficient, improve clinical outcomes, improve staff and patient experiences and save the NHS time and money.
- Work closely with the AI team to identify opportunities to leverage AI
- Collaborating with our transformation, commercial and marketing teams to shape the go to market approach and scaling for your product area
- Spotting opportunities to improve our product team at DrDoctor and contributing to the team’s continuous improvement
- You will have the opportunity to progress towards line management and we will support you in this
OK, I’m interested. What experience do I need to have?
- You have extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of leading cross functional squads in delivering impactful products.
- You have worked on and enjoy getting your head around complex products.
- As a generalist, you consistently define vision and strategy for your product area as well as support your squad in shipping high quality solutions.
- You are equally able to work on the optimisation of established products as well as leading on ambiguous, early stage product initiatives. You have worked on a variety of different products.
- You are experienced in leading on product discovery for your area and well versed in using qualitative and quantitative methods to validate and prioritise work.
- You are an excellent communicator and know how to keep your stakeholders informed and involved, providing a clear rationale for your product decisions.
- You enjoy the opportunities and challenges of working in a scale up environment
- Experience in SaaS preferred, experience in health tech desired but not required.
We know from research and experience that candidates may not apply if they don’t think they meet 100% of our requirements. If you don’t tick all the boxes but feel you would be a good fit, we would still love to hear from you. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture!
Just to let you know too, we will need you to have the Right To Work in the UK, and as we work closely with the NHS, if we get to the stage where we make you an offer to join us, we will also need to undertake a DBS check.
We are perfect for each other, what are the next steps?
We are currently recruiting heavily and have a lot of CVs to go through. However, we don’t wait for roles to close before going through your CV. We will be in touch in a few days to let you know if we think we might be a match, and if we are not. Unfortunately, because we get so many CV’s we are not able to send a personalised reply if it’s not a match. However, if you want more details as to why, just drop us a note and we will arrange to get some feedback over to you.
If it’s a match, then we will arrange a time to talk to you on a quick 30 minute call. It’s just an informal chat so you can relax! We will tell you more about the role, the team and why you should want to join us.
If we continue, then we will invite you to meet some of the team, most likely virtually. Some our roles will also be subject to completing an assessment or a role related exercise.
